The Teaching Laboratory of Positive Sciences (EDTHE) of the Pedagogical Department of Primary Education (PTDE) of the University of Crete in collaboration with the Department of Education of the Municipality of Rethymno. The laboratory operates in the Old Town of Rethymno (at the site of the former library, Agia Varvara 24) the Science and Technology Center "Science n the City”. This space hosts exploratory activities related to concepts and phenomena of Natural Sciences utilizing New Technologies, such as tablets, mobile phones, virtual reality glasses, interactive whiteboards, educational robotics, etc.
Laboratory activities, have been developed mostly by undergraduates, postgraduate students and doctoral candidates of the EDTHE of the PTDE of the University of Crete in the context of research work. The laboratory is primarily addressed to students of all three levels of education, who visit the site on predetermined days and times every week.
